The Babysitter and the Little Girl

I was on the sidewalk in a city on the top of the stairs that lead down to the subway. There was hustle and bustle with people going up and down the stairs to the subway and people walking on the sidewalk. There was a man dropping off his daughter. I think she was about 3 or 4 years old. There was a teenage girl standing to the side of the stairs as well.

I assumed that he was bringing the little girl to the teenage girl who was a babysitter. The dad introduced me to some other girls who seemed very happy and friendly. I also noticed a middle-aged man riding a green ten-speed bicycle. The man was circling around. It seemed like the dad was acquainted with the middle-aged man. The dad left the little girl with the first teenage girl. I didn’t meet her.

I started going down the stairs to the subway with the nice girls. I was carrying a plastic bag with some clothes in it. The girls asked me what was in the bag. I said it was just some clothes. I went down the stairs and I started turning right to go down the corridor. There were shops and people down there.

As I was walking my way, I turned around and I saw the teenage girl with the little girl. As they got a few feet from the bottom of the stairway, the teenage girl gave the little girl a lot of big stuff to carry. She said in a mean voice, “here carry this.” And she gave it to her and said: “come on, let’s go.” She wasn’t nice to her at all - like she was when she was in front of the girl’s dad. I was struck that she was so mean to the girl. They started walking the other direction away from me. As they were walking away, I also noticed the man who was riding the green bike came walking down the stairs. It seemed suspicious to me so I kept watching both. I wanted to see what was going on.

I had the bag of clothes. I thought that the man had seen me upstairs and if I changed he would not recognize me. So I turned into a shop and put on a different shirt. I could see my reflection in the mirror. I then went back toward the corridor where the teenager and the little girl were. The man was sitting on the edge of a large potted plant watching the two girls.

I looked where the man was looking and I saw a food stand. I saw the teenage girl tell the little girl to go to the other side and order some food. The teenage girl went behind the counter where the workers were. The workers looked a bit startled. They didn’t know who she was. The teenage girl started moving things out of the way which had been hanging. I saw what she was doing then I looked back at the man and he was sitting there with what looked like a dart gun. The teenager had cleared a path so the man could get a clear view of the little girl. He shot her with a dart and hit her on the neck.

Then I didn’t see the little girl anymore. The teenage girl had put her in a bag on a rolling cart. They were trying to get her out without anyone noticing. On her way out, she stopped at an Asian food stand and she ordered some specialty dish to go. I thought they were going to put the food in the bag so that if anyone looked in the bag they would only see the food. The Asian worker said that if they wanted to get the specialty food they would have to wait for it. At that point, I thought I would have enough time so I could run and get her dad.

So I ran to his house. He lived in a double shotgun style house with a porch that wraps clear around the house. They had a glass door. I saw him inside and I saw his wife. She was sitting at the table with her back to me. I was going to yell and tell him his daughter was in trouble and to hurry and come, but I noticed the man that had been on the green bike was on the other side of the porch, and he turned and was coming toward me. I knocked on the door and when the dad came, I put my finger to my mouth and said “Shhh” to be quiet. He let me in and I told him that his daughter was in trouble and that the man on the green bike was involved. The dad looked angry. We both walked out of the house. The dad was carrying what I thought was a piano bench. We were walking toward the gated parking area and the man with the green bike was also walking with us toward the gated area. The dad saw him and was angry but didn’t say anything. I asked the man, “Why don’t you stay and help us paint?” I was testing him. He replied, “I can’t right now. I’m very busy. I have to do something right now. But when I’m done I will come back and help.” As we were nearing the gate I was thinking we should lock the guy inside and go call the police.

During my time of prayer the Lord revealed to me the meaning of the dream. The father represents God, the little girl represents the church, and the man on the bicycle represents the enemy. The difficult part of this dream is the identity of the teenage girl. The Lord revealed to me that the teenage girl is the church leadership. Notice the ones responsible are depicted as a teenager, who is rebellious, scheming and not what she appears. Whether she’s aware of it or not, she loads down the church with things she’s not willing to carry. They are also not doing their job nurturing and protecting the believers, but doing the exact opposite and cooperating with the enemy in their destruction. Lastly, I represent the prophetic observer who is able to discern what is happening and run to the Father. Things are not what they appear. The true prophetic is needed to protect the church.
